The unwarranted scapegoating and persecution of the unvaccinated is set to hit a new level, as Austria will lock down its unvaccinated only when ICU capacity hits 30%. As of November 11, ICU capacity was at 20% but rising quickly, as the country is seeing its largest case spike ever–despite nearly 65% of Austrians being fully vaccinated.
“A lockdown for the unvaccinated means one cannot leave one’s home unless one is going to work, shopping (for essentials), stretching one’s legs – namely exactly what we all had to suffer through in 2020,” explained Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg on Thursday.
